Join and manage a live class
Confirm attendance, join the classroom, reschedule or cancel.
For: Learners and tutors in scheduled teaching. Outcome: A safe classroom connection and an accurate retained schedule.
Before you begin
Open Schedule and confirm the class, participant role, local time and labelled time zone. Review the purchased cancellation and rescheduling policy.
Journey
- Open the session and indicate expected attendance if that control is available.
- Review reminders and add the class to your calendar if useful.
- Select Join class and complete the camera, microphone, speaker and network checks that apply.
- Enter the room. The tutor starts the teaching session; learner admission alone does not start it.
- To request a change, open the future session, choose an available action and state the reason.
- For a tutor-approved reschedule, keep the original time until the tutor accepts the request.
- Before cancellation, read the exact credit, replacement or other entitlement consequence and confirm deliberately.
What happens next
Accepted changes update reminders and calendars together. The schedule retains who changed the session, its previous time, reason and consequence. Attendance is finalised after the session window.
Troubleshooting
- If joining is unavailable, confirm the session time and state, then refresh.
- If a reschedule is pending, continue to rely on the original time.
- If camera or microphone permission is blocked, allow it in browser settings and repeat pre-join.
