Publish a course

Author, submit, revise and publish an immutable course version.

For: An activated tutor who owns a draft course. Outcome: A reviewed, published course version with an exact learner preview.

Before you begin

Complete the course outcomes, objective pins, modules, lessons, accessible media, attribution and commercial information. A course can mix structured block lessons and generated beat lessons.

Journey

  1. Open Courses and select the draft.
  2. Edit a lesson and wait for Saved before leaving. If the connection drops, keep the page until Drona confirms the retained change has synced.
  3. Open Preview as learner in wide and narrow modes. Check authored content, alternative text, captions and attribution.
  4. Open Review and submit and repair every anchored readiness issue.
  5. Submit the version. Authoring becomes read-only during review.
  6. If changes are requested, open each anchored comment, revise the relevant content, respond and resubmit.
  7. After approval, confirm the version is Published.

What happens next

The published version and its snapshot are immutable. Future edits create a new version, and enrolled learners make an explicit choice if migration is offered.

Troubleshooting

  • If readiness fails, follow the issue link to the exact lesson or block.
  • If an offline save remains pending, restore the connection and allow the saved draft to retry.
  • If preview and editor differ, do not submit; report the mismatch from the course.
